Well…here’s your proof folks. Vampire-Diaries.net has a scan of next week’s Soap Opera Weekly featuring an interview with Julie Plec and confirms the show will be on an 8 week hiatus after next week’s episode. Read the very first paragraph.
The word on the net, is that after next week’s episode “The Turning Point”, The Vampire Diaries will be on hiatus until January 14, 2010. The Futon Critic tweeted the bombshell last night:
"This just in: the November 19 episode of SUPERNATURAL (and presumably VAMPIRE DIARIES) will be the last original until January 14″
As soon as I get confirmation, I’ll update this post. If this is true, it will be very sad times indeed. That’s an awfully long time to wait huh? I can see them not having a show the week of Thanksgiving, but nothing throughout the entire month of December?? It is true that we currently don’t have any other episode titles or summaries though, so it actually makes sense. But I’m also surprised that we haven’t heard anything about it too. Just wanted to give you guys the heads up.
